What are CVS Extra Bucks?

CVS Extra Bucks are store credits. They are usually tacked on sale items, saving you more money. For example, a twelve pack of soda is sale priced at $4 and there is an extra $2 Extra Bucks savings. You are still going to pay the $4, but you have $2 in Extra Bucks for future purchases. They expire in one month after you receive them. Here are some helpful hints in using CVS Extra Bucks:

-You can use Extra Bucks to purchase anything in the store including sale items and other Extra Buck bonus items. But you cannot use it to purchase liquor/alcohol.

-You can also use manufacturer coupons with Extra Bucks credit or for Extra Bucks items.

-Go to CVS.com or Slickdeals.net to look for the $4 off $20 coupon. You can save even more money with this. It is best to have just over $20 in items when you use this $4 off coupon. It will get you the best deal. If you have manufacturer coupons that may push your order under $20, give the $4 off coupon first to the cashier, then follow it with the manufacturer coupons.

-If you have a doctor's prescription, get the order at CVS. If you look in your Sunday paper they will have a coupon for a $25 gift card for all new and transferred prescriptions.

-Do your homework before you go. Check out the Sunday flyer and have a list of all the items you are going to purchase. Make sure you have a backup plan too because sometimes the Extra Bucks items may be sold out already.

-Check out my other site on examples of using Extra Bucks.
